When we talk about nutrition in the context of our day-to-day lives, we mean the act of consuming the things that are necessary to keep our bodies in healthy condition. Because of the USDA's participation in our daily food needs and the FDA's engagement in establishing what is and is not harmful for us to ingest, the word "nutrition" has emerged as a significant topic of discussion in recent years.
